EMOTION COACHING
It's time to become the best version of YOU
Emotion coaching helps parents guide their children through life's ups and downs in a way that builds confidence, resilience, and strong relationships. Developed by Dr. John Gottman, author of Raising an Emotionally Intelligent Child, this process helps your child learn how emotions work and how to behave in healthy ways when feelings are strong- skills that help them thrive socially and academically. This course will give you the tools to become an emotionally responsive parent.
What You Will Learn:
- How to recognize, respond to, and validate what your child is feeling
- How to be an effective emotion coach using the 5 Steps of Emotion Coaching with children of any age
- Ways to express understanding and empathy
- How to effectively set limits and problem-solve with your children

STRONG BODIES, STRONG MINDS
Children often look for opportunities to test their limits; mealtime is the perfect time to do so. The first few years of a child’s life are characterized by a focus on power and control. They are individuating after 18-21 months. (Just about the same time they start eating solids) You can help your children to eat well & use self–discipline without being coercive (bribing) or humiliating them (using shame and punishment). This course will provide you with the tools needed to become more intentional about providing what your child needs, help clarify your role in feeding, and teach you how to encourage healthy eating habits.
What You Will Learn:
- What expectations are realistic regarding what your child can and needs to eat
- How to encourage your child to try new foods.
- How to effectively avoid and manage challenging behaviors at the family table
- A fundamental understanding of the division of responsibilities between you and your child regarding eating and feeding.
- How to meal plan using age-appropriate portions.
